EP70BK03 Datasheet

Canyon’s EP70BK03 is a 70 Shore A black EPDM compound that is peroxide cured and engineered for sanitary, potable water, and regulated sealing applications. It is fully compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and certified to NSF 61, making it well suited for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and water-contact environments. With a service temperature range of -57°C to 150°C (-70°F to 300°F), EP70BK03 delivers reliable performance in hot water, steam, and cleaning environments while maintaining good abrasion resistance and low compression set. Its peroxide-cured formulation enhances heat resistance, aging stability, and long-term sealing reliability compared to sulfur-cured alternatives.

 

EP70BK03 meets ASTM D2000 M3DA710 requirements and is commonly used in industrial equipment, potable water systems, and sanitary process applications where compliance and durability are critical. It is frequently cross-referenced as an alternative to Parker E0540-80, EB152-70, and E883-70 for comparable FDA- and NSF-rated EPDM sealing applications.
