N0299-50 Datasheet

Parker’s N0299-50 is a 50 Shore A black nitrile rubber (NBR) compound designed for low-temperature sealing applications that require flexibility, oil resistance, and compliance with aerospace and industrial standards. Operating across a service temperature range of -55°F to 225°F, it maintains elasticity in cold environments while providing reliable sealing performance in petroleum-based oils. The compound is also compatible with water up to 212°F, salt and alkali solutions, and weak acids, supporting use in general-purpose hydraulic and fluid-handling systems. Its softer durometer improves conformability and sealing under lower clamp loads in static and light dynamic applications.

 

N0299-50 meets ASTM D2000 M2BG510 requirements, is UL listed, and conforms to AMS 3205, making it suitable for regulated applications that require documented material performance. It is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in industrial equipment, aerospace-adjacent systems, and low-temperature service environments. The material is not recommended for aromatic fuels, strong acids, glycols, ozone exposure, or polar solvents.
