Long Kalrez® Lead Times? Canrez® FFKM Is In Stock!

Updated: Oct 7, 2026

Waiting on a Kalrez® O-ring, gasket, or custom seal? When material delivery extends beyond your maintenance window or equipment build schedule, a small component can become a major obstacle.

You should not have to choose between meeting your schedule and maintaining the sealing performance your application requires.

Canrez® FFKM is in stock and ready to go from Canyon Components. For products that are not currently stocked, we can typically arrange new production in 4-6 weeks, depending on the compound, geometry, quantity, and order requirements.

Canrez® is a premium FFKM product line, with compounds formulated to meet or exceed the performance of comparable leading perfluoroelastomers. Strong availability is an additional advantage, not a reason to accept a material downgrade.

When FFKM Lead Times Become a Production Problem

An extended delivery date can affect more than the purchasing department. It may delay a pump rebuild, hold up a new process skid, or leave maintenance teams without the replacement seals needed for a scheduled shutdown.

The consequences become especially frustrating when the equipment is otherwise ready to operate.

Rather than assuming that the lead time on your existing specification is your only option, consider whether another qualified FFKM compound can meet the application requirements.

The objective is not simply to find a seal sooner. It is to find the right seal sooner.

Canrez® FFKM: In Stock and Ready to Go

Canyon Components supplies Canrez® FFKM O-rings in standard AS568, JIS, and metric sizes, alongside gaskets and custom sealing components. This gives engineers and purchasing teams options for both established equipment and new designs.

For an urgent requirement, start with the existing part number, compound, size, and quantity. Our team can review the application and confirm which suitable products are available.

An in-stock part can eliminate the wait for a new production run. However, availability should be checked for the complete requirement, including any special cleaning, packaging, inspection, or documentation.

Send Canyon your required delivery date at the beginning of the inquiry so availability and technical suitability can be evaluated together.

For many Canrez® FFKM products, Canyon Components can typically arrange production in 4-6 weeks. This provides another option when the required size or configuration is not already available.

Not In Stock? Typical Production in 4-6 Weeks

A non-stock requirement does not automatically mean a lengthy delay.

For many Canrez® FFKM products, Canyon Components can typically arrange production in 4-6 weeks. This provides another option when the required size or configuration is not already available.

The timeline depends on what the order requires. An existing design and compound may follow a different schedule from a new custom geometry requiring tooling, samples, or additional qualification.

Share those requirements early, particularly when the part is tied to a shutdown or equipment delivery.

The 4-6 week window is a typical production timeframe, not a universal delivery guarantee. Your quotation will establish the schedule for the specific product and any additional processing.

Premium FFKM Performance Without the Long Wait

Canrez® should be evaluated as a high-performance sealing solution in its own right, not simply as something to use until another brand becomes available.

The Canrez® range includes formulations developed for broad chemical resistance, elevated temperatures, low compression set, and specialized operating environments. Targeted compounds are engineered to address performance categories served by other leading FFKM grades.

The right comparison is between specific compounds under relevant conditions. Chemical resistance, temperature capability, hardness, compression-set behavior, and purity requirements all influence the result.

Matching those requirements may identify a Canrez® compound that provides comparable performance or an opportunity to improve a particular aspect of the application. Brand names alone do not establish interchangeability.

Better availability and premium material performance are not competing priorities.

Canrez® Compounds for Demanding Applications

Canrez® is a family of FFKM formulations rather than one material intended to cover every process. The following examples illustrate options for different operating requirements. Stock availability should be confirmed for the specific size and quantity.

CP75BK01: Steam and High-Temperature Chemical Processing

Canrez® CP75BK01 is Canyon’s flagship black, 75 Shore A FFKM, combining near-universal chemical resistance, excellent high-temperature steam performance, and low compression set at a cost-effective price. Its service temperature range is -15°C to 320°C (approximately 5°F to 610°F), with tolerance for short excursions outside that range.

Recommended applications include semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and sealing aggressive solvents such as MEK, DMF, and acetone. CP75BK01 also offers resistance to esters, ethers, ketones, aldehydes, and xylene. Service-specific limits include steam below 300°C and amines below 38°C.

CP75BK01 can be evaluated as an alternative to Kalrez® 6375, 4079, 7375, and 7075, with selection based on the application’s chemical exposure, temperature, and sealing requirements rather than assumed interchangeability.

CP70TA11: Semiconductor, Plasma, and Laser Applications

Canrez® CP70TA11 is Canyon’s specialty translucent amber FFKM, developed for semiconductor manufacturing and demanding plasma and laser applications. It combines ultra-high purity, low etch rates, low particle generation, and strong plasma resistance with near-universal chemical resistance. Its service temperature range is -15°C to 280°C (5°F to 536°F).

Recommended applications span wet and dry semiconductor processes, including ashing, etching, polishing, deposition, wafer cleaning, and thermal processing. Chemical immersion testing in 50% potassium hydroxide (KOH) at 125°C produced just +0.3% volume change after 168 hours, demonstrating dimensional stability under those test conditions.

CP70TA11 can be evaluated for applications currently specifying Kalrez® 9100, 8085, or 6375, with selection based on the specific process chemistry, temperature, plasma exposure, and purity requirements rather than assumed interchangeability.

CP75WH18: Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Food Applications

Canrez® CP75WH18 is a white, 75 Shore A, carbon-black-free FFKM developed for demanding medical, pharmaceutical, and food applications. It combines high purity, near-universal chemical resistance, and high-temperature performance with USP Class VI and FDA compliance and an ADI-free formulation. Its service temperature range is -15°C to 260°C (5°F to 500°F).

Recommended applications include pharmaceutical processing, medical equipment, food production, clean-in-place (CIP) systems, and steam-in-place (SIP) sterilization. Cleanroom manufacturing and packaging are available for applications with additional cleanliness and handling requirements.

CP75WH18 also provides documented resistance to aggressive chemical exposure. Testing in 98% sulfuric acid at 60°C produced just +0.1% volume change after 70 hours, with no change in Shore A hardness. Specific process and cleaning conditions should be reviewed alongside the required compliance documentation when selecting the material.

CP75BK03: Extreme Hot Amine and Enhanced Chemical Resistance

Canrez® CP75BK03 is a black, 75 Shore A FFKM developed for demanding hot amine applications and enhanced chemical resistance. It combines excellent resistance to hot amines, steam, sour gas, strong acids, and solvents with low compression set and cost-effective performance. Its service temperature range is -15°C to 260°C (5°F to 500°F), with application-specific limits of amines below 200°C and steam below 225°C.

Hot amine immersion testing recorded +4% volume change in MDEA after 168 hours at 150°C and +5% volume change in dipropylamine after 168 hours at 200°C. Additional chemical testing recorded +0.6% volume change in 98% sulfuric acid after 72 hours at 60°C. These results document swelling behavior under specific test conditions; they do not extend the published service limits or establish compatibility with every amine or acid.

Recommended applications include semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and systems handling aggressive solvents such as MEK, DMF, and acetone. CP75BK03 can be evaluated as an alternative to Kalrez® 1050LF, 6375, or 6380, with selection based on the specific chemical exposure, concentration, temperature, and sealing requirements rather than assumed interchangeability.

More Than Standard FFKM O-Rings

Some projects need a replacement O-ring. Others require a sealing geometry that does not appear in a standard catalog.

Canyon Components supports Canrez® FFKM requirements that include:

Custom geometry does not have to mean abandoning FFKM performance. Canyon can review the component and determine an appropriate material and production approach.

For sanitary applications, identify the actual gasket profile and dimensions rather than requesting a generic replacement. A tri-clamp gasket, for example, must match the connection as well as the process requirements.

Provide a drawing whenever possible, and identify any surfaces, tolerances, or processing requirements critical to performance.

How to Evaluate a Canrez® Alternative to Kalrez®
How to Evaluate a Canrez® Alternative to Kalrez®

How to Evaluate a Canrez® Alternative to Kalrez®

A useful replacement review begins with the existing specification and the reason FFKM was selected.

Provide the current Kalrez® compound or part number, seal dimensions, process chemicals, operating temperatures, pressure or vacuum conditions, and required quantity. Include cleaning exposure and any material qualification requirements.

Chemical compatibility and temperature should be evaluated alongside seal geometry. Established FFKM selection tools likewise consider operating conditions and groove design rather than choosing a compound by brand alone.

Canyon can help cross-reference the existing requirement, review material information, and identify candidates for evaluation. Samples or prototypes can support fit and performance checks where needed.

Where a drawing, customer specification, or approved material list names a particular compound, complete the required approval process before substitution. A qualified alternative gives purchasing more flexibility without bypassing engineering requirements.

Kalrez®, Chemraz®, and Parker Parofluor™ Alternatives

Searching for Kalrez® O-rings, Chemraz® FFKM seals, or Parker Parofluor™ O-rings? Canyon Components offers Canrez® FFKM O-rings, gaskets, and custom-molded seals for demanding semiconductor, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications. From standard AS568 and metric O-rings to custom sealing geometries, Canrez® provides options for new equipment, maintenance, and replacement projects.

Whether you are evaluating Kalrez® alternatives, Chemraz® replacement options, or Parker FFKM alternatives, the right comparison starts with your application. Our engineering team can review your existing compound specification and help identify a Canrez® material suited to the required chemical resistance, temperature, hardness, and sealing geometry. A material cross-reference provides a starting point for evaluation, not an automatic guarantee of interchangeability.

For applications requiring high-temperature FFKM O-rings, plasma-resistant seals, hot amine-resistant gaskets, or food and pharmaceutical FFKM materials, the Canrez® compounds discussed above provide targeted options. This allows you to evaluate performance and availability together rather than limiting your search to a single historical specification.

Canrez® FFKM products are in stock and ready to go, with typical production of 4-6 weeks for many non-stock requirements. Availability and timing depend on the exact compound, dimensions, quantity, and processing requirements.

Plan Beyond the Immediate Order

An urgent replacement may solve today’s problem, but recurring seal requirements deserve a longer-term supply plan.

Consider qualifying an alternative before the next shutdown, identifying frequently used sizes, and discussing expected consumption with Canyon. Blanket-order stocking arrangements are available for Canrez® O-rings, gaskets, and custom components.

The goal is to make the next requirement routine rather than urgent.

Evaluate the total purchasing decision as well: material suitability, availability, replacement frequency, maintenance access, and the consequences of waiting. The lowest unit price or most familiar part number may not address every operational priority.
