Limitations of Viton™ Type GFLT
- Viton™ Type GFLT O-rings, gaskets, and custom molded parts have poor resistance to hot water and superheated steam
- Viton™ Type GFLT O-rings, gaskets, and custom molded parts are not recommended for strong amines, ketones, or highly polar solvents
- Viton™ Type GFLT O-rings, gaskets, and custom molded parts are not compatible with ammonia gas or strong inorganic bases
- Viton™ Type GFLT O-rings, gaskets, and custom molded parts typically have a service temperature range of -35°F to 437°F (-37°C to 225°C), depending on compound and application. Other FKM blends have better low temperature performance, and FFKM materials typically have better high temperature performance.
