FKM Viton™ Diaphragms
Viton™ FKM fluorocarbon diaphragms are engineered for sealing, isolation, and actuation applications where aggressive fluids, elevated temperatures, and continuous flexing push standard elastomers beyond their limits. These diaphragms are typically formulated in 60 to 90 Shore A durometers depending on flexibility requirements, offering a balance of chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and long-term durability in dynamic environments.
Viton™ diaphragm seals are commonly used in pumps, valves, regulators, and control systems where precise movement and reliable sealing are required under exposure to fuels, oils, solvents, and harsh process media. Their low permeability and strong resistance to hydrocarbons, ozone, and aging make them ideal for applications where both sealing performance and diaphragm integrity are critical. Fluorocarbon materials are widely recognized for their ability to withstand oils, fuels, aromatics, and many aggressive chemicals while maintaining performance at elevated temperatures.
The engineers and consultants at Canyon Components work closely with customers to select the optimal Viton™ diaphragm material, balancing flexibility, thickness, reinforcement, chemical compatibility, and cycle life.
