Parker Hannifin ACM (Acrylic Rubber) Elastomers
Parker Hannifin ACM elastomer materials are designed for sealing applications requiring strong resistance to high temperature oils, oxidation, automatic transmission fluids, and automotive lubricants. ACM, also known as Acrylic Rubber or Polyacrylate Rubber, is commonly used in O-rings, gaskets, transmission seals, shaft seals, custom molded rubber parts, and automotive sealing systems operating in elevated temperature oil environments. These materials are widely specified in automotive transmissions, engines, fluid handling systems, industrial machinery, and powertrain sealing applications where thermal stability and oil resistance are important.
Canyon Components supplies high quality equivalents to many Parker ACM elastomer compounds used throughout automotive and industrial sealing systems. Our team supports replacement O-rings, gaskets, and custom molded sealing components manufactured from ACM materials for transmission systems, lubricated equipment, and elevated temperature oil applications. We also provide engineering support for material selection, fluid compatibility analysis, and sealing system optimization.

Features of Parker Hannifin ACM Materials
- These materials are commonly used in O-rings, gaskets, transmission seals, shaft seals, and custom molded rubber parts
- ACM materials are widely used in automatic transmission systems and automotive powertrain applications
- These compounds offer improved ozone and weather resistance compared to many general purpose elastomers
- Specialized ACM compounds are available with low compression set and improved high temperature stability
- Canyon Components supplies equivalent ACM sealing materials with strong availability, engineering support, and rapid lead times
Limitations of Parker Hannifin ACM Materials
- ACM materials generally provide poor low temperature flexibility compared to Silicone, EPDM, or specialty low temperature FKM compounds
- These compounds are not recommended for hot water, steam, acids, alkalis, or amine exposure
- Acrylic Rubber materials may have limited compatibility with aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents
- ACM compounds typically provide lower mechanical strength and abrasion resistance than HNBR materials
- Not all ACM compounds are suitable for aggressive dynamic applications involving severe wear conditions
- Certain industrial chemicals and glycol based brake fluids may rapidly degrade ACM materials
